A lynx visiting our Brown Bear hide!

We opened our Brown Bear watching hide on the 15th April and the first week has been quite good.

Our camera traps near the hides have captured Brown Bears, Foxes, Raccoon Dogs, Pine Marten, Red Squirrel, Roe Deer, Elk, Otter and as a cherry on top – Lynx!

Unfortunately, it was during the daytime when nobody was in the hide. We’ve seen lynx footprints on many occasions near the hide, but until now we did not have a photo proof that they could have been seen from the hide. But now we do! Same applies to wolf – we’ve found scat and footprints, but no visual sightings. Let’s hope that it will change this season.

We have also started a list of species seen from the hide. If you visited the hide and saw something that is not on the list yet, please let us know. Because the photos sent by our camera traps are just the tip of the iceberg.
